New Mexico Assault Fast Pitch

About us

Our Mission

A Positive Trajectory Foundation dba New Mexico Assault Fastpitch is a vital 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring, enhancing, and nurturing female youth through the sport of softball. We currently provide services in New Mexico to girls aged 6-18, regardless of race or socioeconomic status. We focus on education, development, and the spirit of high-level competition; however, winning a game is not our purpose. Instead, we are people focused and meet our girls where they are  implementing accountability, teamwork, values, expectations, loyalty, respect, confidence, and determination through fastpitch training and game playing.

Need for Our Programs

Founder Johnny Rodriguez, a service-connected veteran, master's level social worker, and dedicated coach, deeply understands the need for New Mexico Assault Fastpitch. With high child poverty rates and rising mental health concerns among youth, Rodriguez is committed to addressing these issues through sports and education. The organization aims to empower young female athletes and promote gender equality while fostering a community that nurtures participants and helps them achieve their goals.

Our Solutions

New Mexico Assault Fastpitch is currently focused on Albuquerque, striving to be the leading organization for top-tier athletic training for female student-athletes. We currently have two teams with year-round practices and games, and we plan to expand further to reach more young athletes. Our biggest achievement so far has been helping four high school seniors connect with universities in 2020, where they put their skills to good use. To support and grow our program, we're seeking community support through equipment storage solutions. We welcome in-kind donations and financial contributions as our services are in high demand. Your support can make a significant impact in helping us achieve our goals.
